Hoop perimeter barriers
Most versatile products
Hoop barriers are one of our most versatile products. Customers use them for boundary demarcation, perimeter security, restricting vehicle access, shopping trolley bays, bicycle parking and separating pedestrian and vehicular traffic. A key benefit of hoop barriers is that they do not restrict vision in the same way as fencing or railings.
We offer different styles and sizes of hoop barrier to suit the application requirements and customer preferences. They are manufactured from mild steel and galvanised to provide long-term protection from corrosion. An optional powder coated finish, applied on top of the galvanising, can be in high-visibility yellow and black or the customer’s choice of BS or RAL colours. As an alternative, we can supply and install stainless steel hoop barriers formed from 48 mm diameter tubing.

Our mild steel hoop barriers are available in tube diameters from 48 to 90 mm, lengths from 500 to 2000 mm and heights of up to 1000 mm above ground level.

Manual arm barriers
Control access to private car parks and sites
Our manual arm barriers are ideal for controlling access to private car parks and sites where someone is available to operate the barrier at the times when it is needed. Outside normal operating hours, the boom can be locked in either the lowered or raised position.
Each manual arm barrier is constructed from galvanised mild steel with a lightweight aluminium alloy arm. As standard the mild steel components are finished with a tough polyester powder coat in blue, while the boom is finished in red and white bands. However, custom colours can be applied on request. Further options include skirts, fixed and removable catch posts, and a ‘pogo stick’ support attached to the end of the boom.
Maximum boom length is 7m but, if the roadway is wider than this, we can install manual arm barriers in pairs.

More information about our manual arm barriers is available via the download links.

One-way flow plates
Control traffic in and out where traffic must travel in one direction only
Our one-way flow plate solves the problem of controlling traffic in and out of car parks or around sites where traffic must travel in one direction only. Installed in groups, typically six per 3 m wide roadway, the robust flow plates are pushed down as a vehicle passes over in the correct direction, then the weighted plates flip back up after the vehicle has passed. However, if a vehicle attempts to pass in the wrong direction, the flow plates do not deflect out of the way. One-way flow plates are therefore extremely effective at enforcing traffic flows.
One-way flow plates are manufactured from steel, galvanised to provide protection from corrosion, and finished with a tough, high-visibility yellow paint. A heavy-duty rubber buffer on the reverse of the plate minimises noise.

Sets of one-way flow plates are installed by casting in concrete and we recommend that they are used in conjunction with speed ramps and warning signs. They are not suitable for use where HGVs are present.
Key Features
- All fabrication of galvanised steel construction
- Top plates are painted finish
- Heavy-duty rubber buffer
- Ragged for casting in only
Additional information
- It is recommended that One-Way Plates are used in conjunction with speed ramps.
- Not suitable for HGV use.
- It is strongly recommended that signs warning of the use of One-Way Flow Plates are used.

Speed ramps
Highly effective way to control traffic speeds
Our modular speed ramps are a simple, highly effective, durable and maintenance-free solution.
Manufactured from heavy-duty recycled PVC with integral white reflectors, the speed ramps are supplied in packs of yellow and black inner sections and a pair of shoulder sections. Each pack comprises sufficient sections to suit the customer’s roadway width. The speed ramp is easy and quick to install by you, your contractor or our team of installers.
We offer two heights of speed ramp: the 50 mm ramp is designed to reduce vehicle speeds to approximately 10 mph, while the 75 mm ramp slows vehicles to approximately 5 mph.
Note that our speed ramps are suitable for use by HGVs weighing up to 44 tonnes but they should not be used by solid-tyred vehicles such as forklift trucks.

See also our one-way flow plate.

Swing barriers
A simple and cost-effective way
Procter swing barriers are simple and cost-effective if you need to control access to car parks, industrial sites or commercial premises, but only on an occasional basis. The barriers are easy to use thanks to self-latching at the catch posts, and they are padlockable in the open or closed position. Different designs are available, depending on the opening width and customer preferences.
Finish – All of our swing barriers are manufactured from mild steel, galvanised for long-lasting protection against corrosion, and finished with a tough polyester powder coating. The standard colour is red, but this can be complemented with reflective white tape or, alternatively, the barriers can be finished in black with reflective yellow tape. Other colours are available on request.

The maximum boom length for a single barrier is 6 m but swing barriers can be installed in pairs for use with wider roadways.
Key Features
- The gate can be secured with the minimum of user intervention due to the spring loaded Self Latching mechanism
- Padlock can be used to secure the gate in the open or closed position (recommended).
- White/red class 2 reflectors.
- Adjustable hinges allow on-site adjustment to ensure that the gate and catch post are correctly aligned.
- The catch post has a reduced height making the release mechanism of the gate easier and reduces the risk of trapped fingers.
- Added safety features include: Skirt height of 550mm (approx car bumper height).
- Double gates are also available with central locking or double removable catch post.
- Additional catch post is required to lock gate in “open” position.
